The Las Vegas Kids Triathlon has relocated to Cowabunga Canyon Water Park with the swim in the lazy river!  With over 150 kids, ages 6-17 crossing the finish line last year, get energized and join us for a unique race experience at the water park!

After swimming in the lazy river at Cowabunga Canyon Water Park, bike at Faiss Middle School, run around Wilbur and Theresa Faiss Park, and finish inside Cowabunga Canyon Water Park with a superhero from the Las Vegas Cause-Players Alliance honoring you with a finisher medal!

Triathlon participants will receive a full size triathlon event, free day pass to Cowabunga Canyon Water Park(good for race day and 2026 season), participation medal, souvenir wristband, race sticker, and cool race t-shirt.  Additional discounted passes for $20 each can be purchased for the whole family through registration.  Sign up by April 10, 2026 to guarantee this year's shirt.  Recycle Run for Fun participants will receive all the same, but recycled!

Pre-Race Bike and Helmet Check

Las Vegas Cyclery is our official bike store sponsor! Visit Las Vegas Cyclery for tune ups, bike rentals, bikes, and other bike service needs prior to race day!

Las Vegas Cyclery

10575 Discovery Dr

Las Vegas, NV 89135

Please take you bike to a bike store for a helmet and bike check.  If your bike is deemed unsafe at packet pickup, race morning or occurring during the race, your child will not be able to participate.

  • General condition with an emphasis on tires and free movement of the chain ring system.
  • The ends of the handlebars have plastic plugs (called bar-end plugs)
  • Bike helmets are approved by CPSC or SNELL (label inside)
  • Helmets must fit properly and the straps adjusted so no more than two fingers can fit inside
  • There are no overly sharp edges on the pedals that could cut a leg in a fall
  • The brake(s) work
  • No aero-bars (if you don't know what that is, the bike doesn't have them)
  • If the bike is much too small or much too large for your child, it is up to the race to determine if this is a safety hazard.  A small child on a bike who can't touch the ground while seated is unsafe.

All bikes must have two wheels and each wheel must have a working brake.  No motors are allowed.  Disc brakes are fine as are electronic shifters.  No fixies, unicycles, recumbents, e-bikes, or scooters.

Race With A Friend for School Fitness Funding

  • Tell us your school when registering!  When 10 or more kids from your school sign up for the triathlon race, your school will receive $100 in School Fitness Funding for PE, playground, STEM, and adaptive movement equipment.  Your school will receive $10 for each additional triathlon participant after 10 signups.  So, 25 triathlon signups would mean $250 for your school.

  • Spread the word with the school flyer found HERE.  Check us out on Facebook or Instagram!
