Mudders and Grunters

 

• $35 pre reg fee - TRR members get a $5 discount
• 13-18 years old only $15
• There will be race day registration ($40)
• All runners compete on the same approximately 5 mile, single loop course.
• The course is run off road, through as much muck, mud and water as we can find.
• Some hills are included.
• Multiple water crossings are present; depth is dependent on pre-race weather.
• Course difficulty is determined by weather.
• Wear old shoes and clothes. 
• Age limit - no runners under 13 years old
• Tee-shirt to first 100, no size guarantees but we'll do our best.
• Individual Awards: Top 3, Male and  Female and Age groups.
• Post run food

Mudders and Grunters is now part of the Trail Mix Series.

The 2026 Trail Mix Series features seven trail races in Westchester and Fairfield Counties. Runners can compete in the series by completing at least 4 of the 7 races in 2026, the first of which is March 29th’s Mudders and Grunters. The best four count towards the point totals for the series. If runners complete five, six, or seven of the series races they can drop their lowest race(s) - only counting best 4 races. The other races of the 2026 Series include: Leatherman’s Loop, Spring Run the Farm, Where the Pavement Ends, Paine to Pain, Run the Farm, and Raven Rocks. 

Runners who complete the series get scored and are eligible for overall and age-category recognition and get automatic selection in the Leatherman’s Loop lottery for following year.
