24-Mile George Washington Run, Walk, n’ Roll Challenge - Alexandria American Legion Post 24

This year is very special given the 250th Birthday Celebration of the United States, and is now more than ever intended to build community and enhance the physical, mental, and emotional resiliency of participants—veterans and non-veterans alike of all ages.  This 6 month-long virtual event encourages participants to Run, Walk or Roll on their own for at least 24 miles (and some may take on the challenge to collect 250 miles) in increments and routes they choose. Additional details: 

• Registration Fee:  $24 per participant
  • • Challenge Coin included, free pickup @ Post 24 - Alexandria, VA (dates to be shared with participants after May 2026)
      
    • Delivery has an extra charge, see registration
• Registration Open:  Online only from February 14, 2026 through July 2026
• Challenge Events:  to be determined (so check back in, participants will receive message updates)
• Participant Swag:  Completion certificate and a custom-designed 'GW' / 250th Birthday commemorative coin

• Refund Policy:  Sorry, due to custom ordering of commemorative coins, we cannot issue refunds
• Charitable Contribution(s):  Event proceeds support veterans and youth programs conducted by the Alexandria American Legion Post 24, Inc.-- a tax-exempt veterans' organization under Internal Revenue Code section 501(c)(19); an optional donation in addition to your registration fee is most welcome.
