Run Vibes is a race discovery website. This policy explains what data we process, how location personalization works, and what choices you have.

Information we process

Depending on how you use the site, we may process:

  • Basic request data (like IP address and user agent) for security and reliability.
  • Search and filter inputs you provide (like city/state and distance filters).
  • Approximate location inferred from IP (city/state-level) to show nearby races.
  • Optional precise location (latitude/longitude) if you click “Use my location.”
  • Outbound click events when you tap “Register” and leave to an organizer’s site.

Location personalization

We may show content localized to your area without asking for device permission by inferring an approximate location from your IP address. This is not precise device location.

If you choose, you can click “Use my location” to share precise browser geolocation. We use it to surface nearby races and you can clear it any time.

You can also manually set your location by city/state (and ZIP where supported) using the search/filter controls.

Cookies and local storage

We use essential storage to operate the site and may store preferences (like a chosen location) to improve your experience on return visits. For details, see our cookie policy.

Affiliate links and outbound registration

Run Vibes links out to third-party registration sites. Those sites have their own privacy practices. Some outbound links may include affiliate or referral parameters so we can attribute traffic.

Third-party services

We use third-party infrastructure providers to host the site and database. We may also use third-party analytics in the future; if we do, we’ll update this policy and, where appropriate, provide cookie preferences.
