8th DQ Dash for Fireworks 5k & 1m Fun Walk

History:

During the Summer of 2017 a public-private collaboration of business owners, Lewes citizens, and representatives of the City of Lewes decided to form an organization to bring official fireworks back to the city of Lewes. We believe that safe and legal fireworks along our beach is the perfect ending to the Lewes' Old Fashioned Fourth of July festivities, which include games on Second Street, a boat parade on the canal, and the Lewes Doo Dah Parade. Fireworks on the beach are a perfect way to end this family-friendly day. Go Fourth! was formed to bring this to fruition. Go Fourth! Go Fourth! is jointly managed by the Go Fourth! committee of volunteers, the Lewes Chamber of Commerce, and the City of Lewes. The Go Fourth! Fund donations are tax-deductible. We invite you to participate in the 8th annual DQ Dash 5k.  This event will benefit the Go 4th Lewes Fireworks Fundraiser.  Join the Striders at DQ on Sunday, May 17th at 9 am for a fun safe 5k.  Run or walk in this event for a great cause!.
