From the organizer
Ricky Moyer loved many things in life, including farming, weight-lifting (all exercise really) and practicing law. He was a devoted husband and father with countless friends in each of these industries. Always putting others before himself, he was generous, kind and always quick to offer words of wisdom. Over the years Rick competed in dozens of 5K races, often with his family in town. With his favorite season upon us, we are choosing to honor Rick’s legacy featuring his very favorite event - a Pump & Run and 5K walk/run. As he would often say to family and friends in regard to these friendly physical competitions - “pain is weakness leaving the body.”
Our goal remains the same and we look forward to giving out our first scholarship to any Clinton County student interested in furthering their education in Agriculture, Criminal Justice or History.
