Celebrate Independence Day with Alameda's traditional July 4th Parade R.A.C.E., a flat and fast 5K run and walk. Experience a point-to-point course through closed business and residential streets, starting early to precede the parade. This community event also supports a meaningful cause, benefiting the Midway Shelter of Alameda. Shuttle service will be available to return runners to the start line after the finish.

Come out for our July 4th tradition and run this flat and fast point to point 5k thru the closed streets of Alameda. We will be starting again at 8:30am to provide ample space between our runners and the Parade that follows.
General Overview:
The 5K run (3.1 mile) and walk takes you through beautiful Alameda winding thru business and residential streets. This run benefits the Midway Shelter of Alameda.

7/1 thru 7/3: Laurens Closet. 1420 Park St, Alameda. Hours 10:00am - 5:00pm 7/4 Race morning registration opens at 7:30am 1440 Park St, Alameda ~ La Pena corner of Santa Clara (New Location) Race Day Details:
Start: 1420 Park St. Alameda, ca. 94501 Packet Pick-up : 7:30am Race Start : 8:30am Finish: 1526 Webster St, Alameda, CA 94501 (across from Tapout Fitness) We will have shuttle service in 2026 to get runners back to the start. We have made strides towards this for a couple years and we finally have it lined up for this year.
