The Kappa Iota Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. invites you to participate in our Inaugural Gold Rush 5K Run as we celebrate 50 years of leadership, scholarship, service, and community impact at Southern Arkansas University! Established on April 15, 1975, our chapter has remained committed to upholding the fraternity’s mission of mentorship, academic excellence, and service to all mankind.

This event is more than just a race—it’s a powerful movement to promote community unity, health and wellness, and educational opportunity. Whether you're running, walking, or cheering from the sidelines, your participation helps highlight the impact of Alpha Phi Alpha’s dedication to mentorship, education, and social progress. Expect an exciting atmosphere with music, food vendors, and community booths as we commemorate this milestone with fellowship, fitness, and fun.

Not only will this event celebrate our golden anniversary, but it will also serve as a fundraiser for an academic endowment scholarship. The proceeds will provide deserving students at Southern Arkansas University with access to educational opportunities that empower them to excel. By coming together as a community to support this initiative, we are investing in the future leaders of tomorrow.
