Held on the first Saturday after Labor Day, these races are a central part of the festive Apple Dumpling Days celebration. Starting in 2007 with a 5K and kids' races, the event expanded to include a half marathon in 2008 and a certified full marathon in 2013, offering a range of distances for runners.

The first Saturday after Labor Day has the scenic town of Elroy, Wisconsin, sponsoring its very own Apple Dumpling Days. As part of the festivities, The Elroy Lions Club hosts the Elroy Apple Dumpling Day Races. The first races were in 2007 with a 5K and a single kids race. The Apple Dumpling Day Races expanded in 2008 and added a very successful ½ marathon and an additional kids race for the very young. In 2013, a certified full marathon was added to the venue.
