The Athens Lions are calling all runners to lace up their shoes & join us for the 17th annual Moo Run. The 5K Run or 1 Mile Fun Walk will be held on the Eureka Rails to Trails on June 6th- held prior the Moo Fest downtown Athens TN. Check in begins at 6:30 am and the race starts at 7:30! Eureka Trails located at 1400 E Madison Avenue Athens TN 37303

From downtown Athens - from Green Street turn into Eastanalee Ave (TN Hwy 307). Go 1.4 miles. Parking is on the left.

From Exit 52 (Athens/Mt Verd) onto TN Hwy 305 S towards Athens - go 3.2 miles - turn left onto Tellico Avenue (CR 378) go 1.2 miles. Turn right onto CR 307. Go .4 miles. Parking lot is on the right - Eureka Trailhead 1400 Madison Avenue Athens, TN

The Eureka Trail is a crushed stone trail that follows an old railroad bed-similar to the Virginia Creeper trail.

5 K run is a timed run.

Registration and Check-in: 6:30-7:15 a.m.

T shirts for each entry prior to midnight 21 May 2026 deadline. Must be picked up at the race.
