For a CauseThe Awesome 3000 invites youth from Salem-Keizer and surrounding areas to participate in a special 300m run. Returning to McCulloch Stadium at Willamette University, this long-standing event, established in 1983, is dedicated to benefiting Salem-Keizer Schools. United Way plays a key role, distributing significant grants to support local children. It's a wonderful opportunity for young runners to engage in a community event with a meaningful cause.
What to expect
- • Join youth from the Salem-Keizer area for a 300m run.
- • The event takes place at McCulloch Stadium, Willamette University.
- • Packet pickup is available on May 14th and 15th; no race day pickup.

Welcome to the Awesome 3000! Join us as we return to McCulloch Stadium for another year of this exciting event.
Since 1983, youth from Salem-Keizer and surrounding areas have participated in this fun run event that benefits Salem-Keizer Schools.
In 2024-2025, United Way will distribute nearly $40,000 in grants throughout the district to benefit our children. We are excited to see you again!
The Awesome 3000 will be held at Willamette University, McCulloch Stadium at Bush Pasture Park on Saturday, May 16, 2026
