The Blessing on the Bayou 5K invites you to run through the charming southern portion of Bayou La Batre, starting near the draw bridge and finishing at St. Margaret’s Church. This event supports Saint Margaret Parish, offering a meaningful way to engage with the community. Runners can look forward to a classic 3.1-mile course and the chance to earn awards for top overall and age group finishes. A cotton race shirt is included for registered participants, making it a lovely experience for all.

Distance:
The 5K will start near the draw bridge, run through the southern portion of the city of Bayou La Batre, and finish at St. Margaret’s church.
Registration:
Register by mail (entries should be postmarked by April 26), drop off at McCoy Outdoor, Run-N-Tri, or Fleet Feet in Mobile, or online at runsignup.com until 6 AM May 2. Race day registration and packet pick-up will be available at St. Margaret’s Church starting at 6:30 AM. Race fees will increase by $5 on race day
Awards:
Top male and top female finishers, top three male and female finishers in each age group: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, and 75-99. *Winners must pick up their awards on race day.
Shirts:
Registered runners will receive a cotton race shirt. To guarantee a shirt on race day, you must submit your application and fees no later than April 21. Shirts will not be reordered after the race.
