The Bobby Doyle Summer Classic 5-Miler honors Bobby Doyle, a beloved brother, father, coach, and friend. This Narragansett, RI event features a USATF-certified 5-mile course offering beautiful, panoramic ocean views. Runners can also enjoy a new 2-Mile Fun Run/Walk. With a $6,500 prize purse and awards for various age groups, it attracts competitive runners, while all participants receive a technical t-shirt and post-race refreshments. It's a thoughtful way to remember a community figure while enjoying a scenic run by the sea.

The Bobby Doyle 5-Miler Road Race was created as a living memorial to our brother, father, coach, and friend, Bobby Doyle. Join us on Sunday, August 9th, 2026 in Narragansett, RI, for the 2026 event!

Start Time: 9:00am
Course: 5 Mile course is USATF-certified. All participants are chipped timed.
Race Features
☘️ USATF-certified 5-Mile course with beautiful, panoramic ocean views
☘️ Added for 2026: 2-Mile Fun Run/Walk (no medal)
☘️ $6,500 total prize purse (Open, 40+, 50+, 60+, 70+, 80+)
☘️ All registered runners will receive a technical t-shirt
☘️ Medals for the first 700 Finishers in the 5-Mile Race
☘️ All pre-registered runners are automatically entered for our Post-Race raffle, including $1,250 in gift cards to Rhode Runner
☘️ Beverages and snacks will be served after the race
☘️ Girls & Boys High School winners earn 1 free pair of shoes (must be current student)

Online registration will close on August 8th @ 8:00 p.m.
$40 Walk up registration fee on race morning.
High School Student Fee $25 Student race for anyone high school age or younger. This year's graduating class is eligible for this rate.
