Your participation helps provide scholarships for vital programs like swim lessons, youth sports, and childcare, strengthening the community and ensuring access for those who need it most. On Saturday, September 19, 2026, the North Royalton Family Y will host its Ninth Annual Bubble Blast Kathleen DePiero Memorial 5K ! Proceeds from the event will benefit the Y’s Annual Campaign, granting area youth and families the opportunity to access Y programs and services, such as Swim Lessons, Youth Sports Leagues, and Before and After School Childcare they otherwise could not afford. The race is dedicated to the memory of Kathleen DePiero , a former board member who is credited with the inception of the event in 2016, and was a tremendous advocate for youth and families in our community.
Since the inception of the race, the North Royalton Y supported over $200,000 in scholarships for membership and programs. The Y continues its commitment to strengthening the foundation of the community through programs that promote youth development, social responsibility, and healthy living, all of which would not be possible without the support of our community partners.

Packet Pick Up will also be available race morning at the YMCA Start Time
Registration (cash or check only)/Packet Pickup - 7 AM 5K Run/1 Mile Walk - 8 AM
Timing
5K: Chip-timed 1 Mile: Untimed Awards
5K awards will be given to the top three overall male and female runners and age group winners.
