Walkers WelcomeJoin the Bully Blitz 5K Run and 1K Walk in Wilmington, IL, a heartwarming event dedicated to supporting It’s A Pittie Rescue. This race offers both a competitive wave for those seeking awards and a fun run wave, followed by a relaxed 1-mile walk. After crossing the finish line on the Wauponsee Glacial Trail, celebrate at the After Party featuring a band, vendors, and even adoptable dogs. Every step helps rescue and rehome pit bull breeds and educate the community.

The Bully Blitz 5K run and 1-mile walk will take place on Saturday, September at 2:00pm. This event is a fundraiser for It’s A Pittie Rescue, a local nonprofit, volunteer-based rescue. All proceeds from this event will go directly toward the rescue’s mission of rescuing, rehabbing, and rehoming pit bull breeds and educating people about one of America’s most loyal and kind breeds, one dog at a time. This event will feature the 5K and 1-mile walk, After Party at Symerton Tap & Grill, After Party with Band, vendors, adoptable dogs, and much more! We do ask that you leave your furry friends at home.
Check-In: All runners and walkers will check in from 1-2:00pm to receive race instructions, Goodie Bags, chipped race bib & Race T-shirt. Check- in will be at Symerton Tap & Grill 18332 W Commercial St Symerton/Wilmington, IL
Race Times: The race will begin at 2:00pm. Race will be on Wauponsee Glacial Trail-Symerton Access, The race will start with a competitive wave then a fun run wave. All the 1-mile walkers will begin after the last runner. Competitive runners will be awarded 1st, 2nd over all & 1st & 2nd for age groups Male & Female.
Must register by September 2nd to be guaranteed a race shirt!
