This event offers a 5k run and walk, starting from Atherton High School. Participants contribute directly to the community, as all proceeds benefit a range of local high school extracurricular groups, including sports and arts, alongside vital community organizations like the Burton VFW Post 2777, Burton Veterans Memorial, and the Burton Police Department. It's a meaningful way to honor the holiday and support local initiatives.
What to expect
- Run or walk a 5K course starting at Atherton High School.
- The 5K run begins at 8:30 AM, followed by the walk at 8:33 AM.

Burton Memorial Day 5k is held at Atherton High School. This event started in the mid 1990s and is still going strong today! 5k Run begins promptly after the National Anthem at 8:30am with the walk beginning at 8:33am. Proceeds will be given to the local high school extracurricular groups such as the Bendle Tiger Youth Football, Bentley Robotics, Atherton Theatre Group as well as the Burton VFW Post 2777, Burton Veterans Memorial and the Burton Police Department.
