Deadline to sign up at the current price is Wednesday March 19th!!! After Thursday, March 19th, Day-of Registration will be offered Saturday morning. Prices will increase to $55 for the 5K and $25 for the 1-mile. We will accept cash, check, or online registration.
Join us for the 4th Annual "Colors for Children's" 5k and Fun Run hosted by Auburn High School Key Club! Taking place on Saturday, March 28th, 2026, this exciting event is not only a chance to lace up your running shoes and hit the pavement but also an opportunity to support a wonderful cause.
Benefiting the Children's Hospital of Alabama, every step you take helps make a difference in the lives of children in need. The race will unfold across Auburn High's campus and surrounding area, promising picturesque views and a sense of community spirit.
For those looking for a lighter challenge, our 1-mile Fun Run is the perfect family-friendly activity. Whether you're a seasoned runner or just starting out, there's something for everyone at the "Colors for Children's" event.

****RACE PARTICIPANT INFORMATION****
We're thrilled to have you join us for the upcoming Colors for Children's race event! To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all participants, please take note of the following important details:
Event Details
Date: Saturday, March 28th
Location: Auburn High School, 1701 E Samford Ave, Auburn, AL 36830
Important Event Start Times:
Safety Brief for all participants at 7:55 a.m.
1 Mile Fun Run begins at 8:00 AM
5K begins at 8:30 AM
All of these events will occur on near the start line in the parking lot in front of the AHS baseball field.
Venue Entrance and Parking:
Please enter Auburn High School through the Glenn Avenue Entrance near John Deere Dealership (see map linked below). Please note that the E. University entrance to the school will be blocked off!
On-campus Parking is available in the Blue Lot- large student parking lot adjacent to the academic building and fine arts building (see map linked below). Please avoid parking in the lot near the athletic building, baseball field, and softball field as this area is part of the 5K and 1-mile course.
There will be Key Clubbers, signs, and arrows guiding you to the designated race areas from the parking lot.
Race Packet Pickup
Race packet pickup begins at 7:15 a.m. for both races and will close approximately 10 minutes prior to race start.
Registration tables will be located outside the athletic building across from the baseball/softball fields (see map linked below). Please head here first to pick up your race materials.
Have a friend that didn’t get a chance to sign up before Thursday March 19th?! We are offering race-day registrations! Those interested can sign up at the registration table. Costs will be increased to $55 for the 5K and $25 for the 1 mile. We can accept cash, check (made payable to AHS Key Club), or online payments. Exact change is preferred if paying in cash. Race T-shirt is not guaranteed.
Early-Bird Race Packet Pickup
Early pick up of bibs ONLY will be offered from 8:15 a.m.-2:00 p.m.. on Friday March 26th in the AHS Media Center.
Please enter through AHS's front office entrance and be prepared to show identification to pick up your bib. Relatives may pick up bibs on behalf of race participants.
AHS students participating in the race may also pick up their bibs between classes in the AHS Media Center. Identification is required, and you will only be allowed to pick up your bib. You will NOT be allowed to pick up your friend's bib on their behalf.
***Early-bird pickups can pick up their race t-shirt from the registration table the morning of the race. ***
Race Details
Proper Bib Attachment
With your race packet, you will receive 4 small safety pins. Please use all 4 safety pins to attach your bib to the front of your shirt/shorts so that it can be easily seen by race attendants. Do NOT remove the bar code section!
Please make sure you are wearing the correct bib for the race. Your bib will have your name and information on the bottom left-hand corner.
Additional Information
Both the 1-mile and 5K are color runs, so colored powder (colored corn starch) will be thrown throughout the race. We will honor requests not to throw powder on strollers/people, but rest assured, the powder is completely washable.
Both races are also considered “open course.” We encourage participants to use sidewalks when possible, to be aware of your surroundings including traffic on roadways, and to review the course maps attached for your respective event.
Inclement Weather
In the event of inclement weather, cancellation of events will be determined and communicated the morning of the race.
