Columbia Track Club Summer Youth Program Registration

Running Events:

50m Dash – Ages 3 & 4 (boys and girls are run separate / ages are run together) 100m Dash – Ages 4 & 5 (boys and girls are run separate/ ages are run together) Week 1: Boys | Week 2: Girls | Week 3: Boys | Week 4: Girls

200m Dash – Ages 5+ (boys and girls alternate weeks / age groups are run separate) 400m Run – Ages 6+ (boys and girls are run separate / age groups are run separate) 800m Run – Ages 6+ (boys and girls run together each week / ages are run together) 1 Mile Run – Ages 6+ (boys and girls together each week / ages are run together) Note: Each age group runs separately within each event except for the 800m and the 1 mile run.

Bib Numbers

All athletes in the 200m, 400m, 800m, and 1 Mile will wear bib numbers Volunteers will help place bibs during check-in Bibs are used to track results and ensure accurate ribbon placement Field Events (Best of 3 Attempts):

Long Jump — Ages 4+ Week 1: Boys | Week 2: Girls | Week 3: Boys | Week 4: Girls

Shot Put — Ages 5+ Week 1: Girls | Week 2: Boys | Week 3: Girls | Week 4: Boys

Field events open after warm-ups and close when the 200m dash begins. Complete your attempts early in the evening if you are not running.

Event Flow

Order of Events : 50m → 100m → 800m → 200m → 400m → 1 Mile Warm-ups: 6:00 PM (June 3), 5:50 PM (all other dates) Field events run alongside races but close before the 200m Athletes in the 200m and longer events report to the ribbon/results table. We will have ribbons ready 15 minutes after finishing the event. Results

All results will be posted on the Columbia Track Club website A QR code will be available on-site for quick access to results No paper results will be posted in the pavilion this year Please allow time after each event for results to be finalized and uploaded Awards

50m & 100m Dash: Ribbons given at the finish line All Other Events : Ribbons distributed 15 minutes after the conclusion of each event. For events that have more than one heat, we will have awards 15 minutes after the final heat of the event. Placement Ribbons : 1st–6th place per age group Rainbow Ribbon : For participants who do not place Personal Improvement Ribbon : Track results over all four weeks; award given during final week if improvement is shown Age Groups for Ribbons:

3–4, 4–5, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10–11, 12–13, 14+ Program Rules

Maximum of 3 events per participant Bib numbers are required for all athletes competing in the 200m, 400m, 800m, and 1 Mile Name tags are encouraged but not required this year Name tags are helpful for athletes in the 50m and 100m , but optional Bib numbers are not required if a participant is only competing in the 50m and/or 100

All participants must join warm-up sessions Track & field access limited to competitors and officials; spectators must remain in the stands except for the 50m and 100m. We will have a designated area for all parents / spectators near the finish of the 50m and the 100m. Parents may assist younger children in short sprint events if needed. No pets allowed Safety & Logistics

First aid kits available Bathrooms will be open Water and cups provided (limited supply) Participants are strongly encouraged to bring their own water bottles to stay hydrated Volunteers assist with bib placement and event flow
