Team 7 in San Diego, CA. He was called to his first deployment and left home April of 2015 where he joined Operation Inherent Resolve. He was temporarily assigned to the Crisis Response Element of Joint Special Operations Task Force-Arabian Peninsula, Special Operations Command Central, US Central Command. There he died on May 21, 2015. He was posthumously promoted to PO2. Prior to leaving for the Navy Ryan would run in an unofficial 5k Thanksgiving morning. One year he ran the course twice. He was the most positive person you could ever meet. Our town needed a race dedicated to all who made the ultimate sacrifice. Awards: Top Male/Female Overall Under 60 Top Male/Female Overall Over 60 Top Male/Female Youth 14 & Under May 17th for shirt deadline. Proceeds: The Fisher House at Lovell Federal Health Care Center (FHCC) in North Chicago, IL, is a free "home away from home" for military and veteran families, offering 16 accessible suites. Dedicated on July 29, 2025, as the 100th Fisher House, it allows families to stay near loved ones receiving care at the fully integrated DoD/VA facility.
