DFD FIRE 5

The Durand Fire Department strives to ensure they are a well prepared and progressive emergency response organization for fire and rescue services in our community.

The 5th Annual DFD FIRE 5 is a FUN, non-timed 5k + run/walk fundraiser. The 5K will be the kickoff event to the Durand Fire Department Dinner and Dance Fundraiser, held annually the 3rd weekend in May.  Our event takes place on Saturday, May 16th, 2026 and is a great way to launch your 5k season.  The race will start promptly at 11am. Check in and same day sign up will start at 10am @ the Durand Fire Hall.

Feeling competitive? WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER! The top 3 runners will receive a free chicken dinner to be redeemed anytime throughout the DFD Dinner and Dance Fundraiser (charcoal chicken will be served 12pm-7pm or until gone).  Interested in enjoying the fresh air and some time with friends? Just enjoy the walk or run at your own pace and we will see you at the end of the race. Strollers/Wagons etc. are welcome if you want to make this a fun event for the entire family!

Registration opens Wednesday April 1st and runs through May 16th at race start time. Pre-Registration ends Sunday April 26th 11pm. pre-registration will guarantee all participants a shirt which will be available, upon check in, on race day. participants may still register after the pre-registration deadline through the start time of the event- t-shirt sizes/availability at that time will be limited.

Same day registration will begin at 10am in front of the Fire Station. Shirts for same day sign up will be available in limited quantities and sizes. Shirts will be first come, first served. No refunds.
