From the organizer
Join us this July 19th for the 8th Annual Diabetes Dash 5K Run/Walk
Start times: 8:15 AM Kids Run -- 8:30 AM 5K
The Diabetes Dash 5K was created shortly after Ryan Washburn was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in July 2018. Following his diagnosis, Ryan became passionate about the work of JDRF—now known as Breakthrough T1D—and knew he wanted to do his part in spreading awareness, offering hope to those living with the disease, and supporting the search for a cure.
Our mission is not only to help fund critical research, but also to educate our community about Type 1 Diabetes. Proceeds from the event will benefit Breakthrough T1D – Central Ohio Chapter.
In addition, a portion of race proceeds will be added to our scholarship fund, supporting Westerville City School graduating seniors living with T1D through $1,000 scholarships.
We would love to have those who are unable to attend on race day join us virtually! Sign up for the virtual 5K and the Diabetes Dash will come to YOU!
