Join the Don Maynard Memorial 5K and 2-mile walk in Greenfield, MA, a heartfelt event supporting local students. Proceeds from your participation directly benefit the Don Maynard Scholarship Fund, providing scholarships to graduating Franklin County public school seniors. The 5K course winds through the "Meadows" section of town and finishes on the bike path bridge. Competitive runners can vie for a $50 prize for the fastest teenage male and female finishers, with special recognition for the 65-Plus Runners Club.

From the organizer
Until race day, the entry fees are $30 for the 5K run and $25 for the 2-mile walk, with a special $20 entry fee for students ranging from elementary school up to college. Race-day entry fees are $35 for the 5-mile run and $30 for the walk.
Donations also are encouraged. In Don’s memory, proceeds go to the Don Maynard Scholarship Fund, which awards scholarships to graduating Franklin County public school seniors.
Race shirts to the first 50 entrants.
The race is endorsed by the New England 65-Plus Runners Club and will have 5-year age groups starting with 65-69. There's a $5 discount for 5K participants who are 65 or older.
Thanks to a generous race supporter who has donated money to encourage younger people to run this race, a $50 prize will be awarded to the fastest teenage male and female finisher.
The 5K course starts on Colrain Road and loops around through the “Meadows” section of town, back to the starting line, taking a left onto Nash’s Mill Road heading east to the bike path entrance and finishing on the bike path bridge.
Walkers will walk a 2-mile loop of the bike path.
Be sure to take a dip in the river to cool off afterward!
