From the organizer

The Eagle 5000 Turkey Trot is a new race that puts a twist on the traditional Thanksgiving turkey trot. Entrants will run a full 5k on the track with athletes racing in heats based on their predicted finishing times.

This event will be held on November 21st, 2026 on the track at Thomas Edison High School in Alexandria, VA. The race is in-person, rain or shine.

This event is all about bringing our community together to help raise money for the Thomas Edison Cross Country and Track and Field programs. Register yourself and bring along your family, friends, and communities to participate in our track turkey trot!
