Like each Rim to River Endurance Co. race before it, the Falling Water Ultras look to bring something new & uniquely its own to ultra running in the New River Gorge. This course consists of 4 x 25K (15.5 mile) loops on the amazing trails at ACE Adventure Resort & dropping into New River Gorge National Park. The route incorporates the two main creeks in the area, Rush Run & Arbuckle. Run next to a multitude of waterfalls, along the banks of the New River, and test your rock-hopping skills at the picturesque Arbuckle Creek crossing. Views abound as each loop touts 2,400’ of elevation gain and loss. Run some of the same trails from the Rim to River 100 & Cabin Fever 50K while also getting on some brand new sections! Runners will be treated to a hyped & over stocked aid station at the Start/Finish area where they can access crew or their campsite/vehicle, but while out on each 15.5 mile loop, runners must carry all their own food/fuel. Hydration stations with water & Hyperlyte Liquid Performance will be available at the 5 & 10 mile point of each loop. Race will begin at 7:00am and runners can compete solo with a 24-hour cutoff in the 100K and a 12-hour cutoff in the 50K. 1st place 100K male & female will earn a free entry into that years Rim to River 100 in November! Solo 100K runners are also allowed to have a pacer for their last loop. A two-person relay team option for the 100K is available as well as a four-person 100K relay with each member running one 15.5 mile loop.
