Join us for the Fostering LIFE 5K & Community Festival, a certified 5K run, family-friendly walk, and community celebration held in Grant Park during National Foster Care Month. This event brings together runners, families, caregivers, and community members to raise awareness about the current state of foster care in Georgia and the critical needs of youth in care and the families who support them. Whether you’re running the certified course or walking alongside others in support, your participation helps shine a light on the realities facing children and caregivers within the foster care system.
**New This Year: Community-Powered & Free to Register**
To remove barriers to participation, registration for this event is free. Participants are invited to give what they can at registration or on event day. All donations directly support Fostering LIFE’s work and ensure this event remains accessible while advancing its mission.
Why This Event Matters
Fostering LIFE is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering youth impacted by foster care to excel in leadership, independence, faith, and education. We also recognize that supporting youth requires supporting caregivers, including foster and kinship parents, who play a vital role in stability and long-term outcomes.
Funds raised through this event directly support:
- Annual scholarships for graduating seniors in foster care
- College readiness kits to support successful postsecondary transitions
- Programs that strengthen both youth and the caregivers who walk alongside them
After the race, stay and celebrate at our Community Festival, featuring family-friendly activities, music, food, and opportunities to learn more about how you can support foster youth year-round. This event is an opportunity to move with purpose, raise awareness, and invest in futures that too often go unsupported.
Rooted in Purpose. Growing Forward.
