Hope in Motion 5k

Break out your neon, lace up your sneakers and join us for a totally rad morning of 80s fun, fitness and hope with proceeds benefiting Genesis Cancer Care Center patients.

Join us Sunday June 7th for Genesis Foundation/Imaging Department’s first annual “Hope in Motion 5k”, in addition, we will be doing a one-mile memory walk. Runners and walkers of all skill level welcome. All proceeds raised at this event will benefit Genesis Cancer Care Center Patients.

When/Where Sunday June 7th, 9am Genesis Healthcare Systems Campus, 2951 Maple Ave Zanesville, Ohio 43701

Race Course The 5k will begin at the Genesis Cancer Care Center, and loop back to the Genesis Cancer Care Center. One mile memory walk will be held on the Genesis Healthcare Systems Walking Trail.

Awards Medals will be awarded to all participants of the 5K who register by May 15th, 2026.

Race Results Automatic text and email results will be sent immediately following a participants finish for those that opt-in. Instant results will also be available on site at the Results Kiosks and at the race website. Registration and Packet pick up Race day registration and packet pick up will be located outside the Genesis Cancer Care Center, Starting at 7am

Entry Fees (Non-Refundable) 5k- early registration up to May 15th  $30 (Includes Registration discount, T-shirt, and finishers medal). 5k- After May 15th -$35 Includes race fee and goodie bag, while supplies last. (Does not include t-shirt or finisher medal) 1 Mile Memory Walk- $10. Without T-shirt. 1 Mile Memory Walk w/ T-shirt- $30. Must register by May 15, 2026 Kids Race Free (12 and Under) (Not eligible for T-shirt, Medal and Goodie Bag)

Additional Race Info 1 Memory mile signs can be purchased in honor of loved ones for $20 each. -    Please refer to Genesishcs.org/Foundation If you would like to purchase T-shirt without entry to race, $25 must order by May 15th, 2026 Please join us later in the day for Celebrate Life, starting at 4pm. Food, refreshments and music provided. (RSVP- Plan to attend, Do not plan to attend)

Refund Policy If we are unable to safely hold an in-person race for Any reason including pandemic or Mother nature, we will automatically convert all registrations to a non-refundable virtual event as opposed to rescheduling. Updates will be posted on the race website.
