Join us Saturday, August 1, 2026, in Nicodemus, KS for the Historic Nicodemus 5K Run Walk. The race begins at 8:00 AM. Register online for $25 at www.kbfa.org through July 31st or $35 on-site. Every participant receives a T-shirt and medal. Top male and female finishers earn a trophy. 🏆
After the race, stay for a FREE Pancake Feed at 8:00 AM with fresh pancakes, sausage, and great company.
Founded in 1877 by formerly enslaved African Americans, Nicodemus was built on the promise of farming, ownership, and self-sufficiency. Families came to cultivate the land, build livelihoods, and create generational opportunity through agriculture. It remains the only all-Black town west of the Mississippi River and stands as a symbol of resilience rooted in farming, hard work, and legacy.
