The Eagle Field of Honor is now the longest, consecutively-run Field of Honor in the country. Over 600 flags stand 24 hours a day for 10 days and are lit at night – a beautiful site you have to see! I hope you'll consider joining us and walking, running or strolling a 5K on the greenbelt ending back at Merrill park just in time for Coffee with a Vet! You also have the option of joining us in a 1/4 mile stroll around the flags. Bring your support, your smiles and enjoy the morning. You can choose to run in honor of a veteran or current military hero so we will have bibs with a blank space so you can write their name on the bib. You can pick up your bib on Race Day at the start of the race starting at 8am . In 2020 during the pandemic, Volunteer Services staff saw that many Veterans were in need of food assistance. Out of that need the VA Food Bank came to be. They help any Veteran asking for assistance. Donations of unopened non-perishable food (canned, boxed, bagged, bottled) are appreciated. They also accept gift cards to major grocery stores like Albertsons, Fred Meyer and Winco, along with gift cards for gasoline. All of these items will go directly to our local Veterans in need. All donations can be brought to the Eagle Field of Honor at Reid Merrill Park before our event on May 16th or to Merrill Park May anytime the 16th through 26th 11am to 6pm.
