In Step With Sam: June 7, 2026 9:00AM!

In Step With Sam  is a chance to gather as a community to remember Samantha Woll, z'l, who was murdered outside of her home in Detroit, MI in October 2023 at the age of 40yo. At the time of her death, Sam was serving as the president of the Isaac Agree Downtown Synagogue. Sam was widely known for her leadership, warmth, and commitment to building community. This run enables us to honor the legacy of someone who meant so much to so many.

What's it all about? More than ever, the world needs the togetherness and kindness that Sam inspired in us all. Let’s celebrate Sam's spirit of unity, community, and connection—one stride at a time. Whether you’re a dedicated runner, a casual walker, or just want to cheer from the sidelines, there is something for everyone.  Choose from a 5K, a 1-mile walk/run, a Kids Fun Run, or a sideline supporter and enjoy a day filled with food trucks, a bounce house, and a memorable Sam-inspired service project. It’s all about coming together—however you wish to participate.

Not in Ann Arbor? Not a problem. Not only do we have a virtual option, but new this year we are holding meetups in cities across the United States and abroad so you can connect with community wherever you are.
