From the organizer

Let us show off Kuehn Conservation on Saturday morning April 18th! The 5K trail race will take you through the prairie trails along the upland areas, as well as the woods and prairies along the Racoon River bottom within the park.  Hosted by the Adel Rotary Club, the race proceeds help fund their local service projects.

Kuehn Conservation was established in 1982 by The Dallas County Conservation Board, and now encompasses over 1000 acres along the Raccoon River in Dallas County.  Archeological evidence shows this area has been enjoyed by humans for thousands of years, from the Woodland and Great Oasis traditions, to modern day humans. Now a county park, you can enjoy the trails that take you through native and restored prairie, woodland, and floodplain along the Raccoon River.

The race starts at 9am and is 100% single and double track trail loop through the park.
