Be a part of history!! As Paulding County launches its first-ever Light the Way 5K, a community road race created to benefit Make-A-Wish Georgia and support a local Paulding County family. This inaugural event brings together purpose, celebration, and a whole lot of heart. The race will start and end in Veterans Memorial Park in Dallas GA (located at 240 Constitution Blvd., Dallas, GA 30132.)
Whether you're running solo or signing up as a couple, everyone is invited to help us kick off this brand-new tradition. Couples receive a discounted registration rate, making it the perfect event to run and enjoy the festivities together.
Event Highlights:
· Date & Time: Saturday Morning, May 9th, 2026. 5K Race Time: 8:00 AM
· Pre-Registration Packet Pickup: Will be held Friday, May 8th from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM in the Cafeteria Lobby of the Administration Building also located at 240 Constitution Blvd., Dallas, GA 30132.)
5K Race Entry Fee: $30 Individual OR $50 per couple (discounted rate! - If you are a couple running - Email us about a Discount Coupon and we’ll get you taken care of! Send email to: matt@wire2wirerunning.com)

Race Start / Finish Line: Both the Starting Line & The Finish Line are located in Veterans Memorial Park in Dallas GA (located at 240 Constitution Blvd., Dallas, GA 30132.) The route will take place in / around the park as well as the entire Watson Government Complex!
Race Parking: Will also be available on site in the Park HOWEVER... PLEASE NOTE that the roads within the park WILL CLOSE at 7:30 AM Race Morning to allow for the safety of the runners at the Start! SCROLL DOWN to the "Race day Parking" Section to see full Parking Map.
🏆 Awards Prizes will be awarded to top three Female / Males finishers as well as the Top Masters Female / Male finisher.
5K Age Categories as follows: 10 & Under, 11–14, 15–19, 20–24, 25–29, 30–34, 35–39, 40–44, 45–49, 50–54, 55–59, 60–64, 65–69, 70 & Over
