Midland Humane Coalition presents a high-octane race where paws meet pavement... The 12th Annual Hot Dog Run: FAST & FURRIEST!

Hot Dog Run is one of Midland’s most beloved traditions — a dog-friendly, family-friendly 5K/1 Mile annual race where runners/walkers and four-legged friends come together to support Midland Humane Coalition’s mission.

This race is an important fundraiser for Midland Humane Coalition.

The end goal: to give homeless cats & dogs a chance to reach their forever finish line -- HOME!

We encourage race participants to either:

Registration Details:

🐾 Humans and dogs of all ages, sizes, speeds, breeds are WELCOME! Bring a stroller if needed for smaller kids/dogs.

🐾 Every animal must have at least (1) owner. Please bring your leashes!

🐾 Participants are NOT REQUIRED to have a pet to join.

Race Day Schedule:

7:30 AM - Registration opens / Race Packet Pick-up 8:30 AM - 5K begins 8:35 AM - 1 Mile begins 9:00 AM - Awards 9:30 AM - Pet Costume Competition begins (FREE ENTRY FOR ALL! Fabulous prizes await winners of: Best Costume & Best Race-themed Costume) Pets and Humans are encouraged to join as a team!

Race Route:

This route loops around the Midland College campus. The route will be marked and a map will be provided prior to the race.

PIT STOP - 2 Hydration Stations will be available at every half mile for humans and animals!

Our events are a success because we have such fabulous VOLUNTEERS!

Volunteering provides an opportunity to serve participants at aid stations, registration, on the course with directions, with post race food and drinks, etc.
