The focus is on practical readiness: foot care, pacing, gear selection, and operating as a cohesive element over distance. Whether someone is brand new to rucking or bringing prior experience, the progression ensures they show up to GUIDON22 capable, confident, and ready to perform. Equally important is the community forged along the way. These monthly rucks bring people together under a shared standard, creating consistency, accountability, and trust. Participants log miles side by side, build relationships, and connect to the deeper purpose behind the event—honoring those we’ve lost and standing in the gap for those still in the fight. By the time GUIDON22 begins, individuals aren’t stepping off alone. They are part of a team that has trained together, carried weight together, and committed to a mission larger than themselves.
