The Rain Day 5K has been held for over 45 years. There was a short hiatus from 2022-now with a change in organization. It is paired with the Rain Day Festival that is held in Waynesburg every July 25th. It is currently being hosted by local youth running programs. Proceeds from the 5K will be used to support all of the cross-country teams in Greene County.
