From the organizer

The Raquette River Marathon and races run along the scenic Raquette River along River Rd, starting and finishing in Potsdam at the Potsdam Arena.  The course involves rolling hills and is certified by USATF and therefore a Boston Qualifier Certified USATF Map .  All races start together at 9:00.  Plenty of parking at Pine Street Arena.  See our website Raquette River Racing and Timing and Facebook page Raquette River on FB for additional information and updates.

Additional details and certified map above.  There will be restrooms at the start finish and portable johns near both the half marathon turn-around and the marathon turn-around points.  A swag bag with registration materials will be handed out to all pre-registered athletes that will include their bib and pins, t-shirt, sports drink, granola, fruit, and more.  Water/sports drink stops will exist every 1.5 miles along the course and at the start finish.

RACE DAY-  Check-in inside the arena by the finish line, awards begin approximately 30 minutes after the last finisher of each race and there will be concessions/ food vendor on site from 8:30-3:00.

Awards for races are as follows:  Half Marathon and Marathon runners will receive medals at finish, and we will do 1st-3rd overall male and female podium awards after the top 3 finishers have come in for each of those races.  CASH AWARDS planned again for the 2026!  These are expected to be $150 for 1st, $100 for 2nd, and $50 for 3rd for both men and women but could change.  The half marathon also had cash prizes in 2024 and 2025.
