From the organizer
Renee’s Run was created to celebrate the life of our dear friend, teammate, and Riverside baseball family member, Renee Giles.
Renee was a constant presence at Bradshaw Park and within the Riverside Baseball Federation community. She spent countless hours volunteering, cheering on the kids, supporting families, and helping make the baseball experience special for everyone around her. Whether it was running the snack shack, organizing events, encouraging players from the sidelines, or helping create memorable All-Star seasons with unique uniforms, gear, and team experiences, Renee always believed in going the extra mile to make the game fun and meaningful for the kids.
Renee passed away after a courageous battle with uterine sarcoma, a rare and aggressive form of uterine cancer. While her loss left a tremendous hole in our community, Renee’s Run was created as a way to keep her spirit alive while supporting causes that reflect what she cared about most.
Each year our community gathers to run, walk, and celebrate Renee’s life while raising funds that continue her legacy within the Riverside baseball community.
