Held during Kids’ Day, Indiana’s largest free outdoor festival for children, this event offers a full race production with a start and finish line, a cheering section, and a finisher medal. It's a wonderful opportunity for kids to get active and feel like a true runner, just like those in the Indy Mini.

Indiana’s youngest runners are hitting the streets for the 500 Festival Rookie Run, presented by Peyton Manning Children's Hospital! This non-competitive fun run gives kids ages 3-10 the chance to get active and experience the excitement of a race - complete with a start and finish line production, cheering section, participant bib, and finisher medal.
The Rookie Run takes place during Kids’ Day , Indiana’s largest free outdoor festival for kids! Held in downtown Indianapolis, the race happens one block north of Monument Circle at Ohio and Meridian streets. Race distances are based on age, and every participant will receive a goodie bag, a bib, and a finisher’s medal - just like the Indy Mini runners!
