Race Date: May 16, 2026 (Timing and Results by Flat-Out Events Race Management)
Race events include 5K (competitively timed event), One Mile Fun Run (not a timed event) and Virtual 5K (no awards)
8:00am - One Mile Fun Run
8:30am - 5K
Virtual 5K Option - 5K
(Late Registration and Runner Packet Pick on Race Day from 7:00-7:45am.)
Cost:
Registrations available online and in-person on race day. If you'd like to receive a tshirt, you must register by end of day on 4/12/2026. Race Registrations received after 4/12/2026 are not guaranteed an event shirt or requested shirt size. Event shirts are distributed on a first come, first serve basis after 4/12/2026. Virtual 5K online registration is available up to race day.

This is our 7th annual "Run for Nicaragua" Race! Since 2019 we've been able to raise over $50,000 to build homes for families in several Barrios in Nicaragua. Our goal in 2026 is to raise $20,000 to build homes in the Carlos Fonseca Barrio in Nicaragua. Each home costs $2,700. Can you believe that? A dry, safe home for a family in need for $2,700. Event funds also help Nicaraguan families with school supplies, furniture and more! To find out more visit: https://ccm.life. Bring non-perishable food items to support the food bank at Thrive Peninsula when you pick up your race packet or register on Race Day. Raffle tickets for a food drive prize will be given for donated food items. The food drive prize will be drawn after the awards ceremony. This is a Family Fun Event with lots of great raffle prizes, refreshments and games for anyone in attendance. This year, all participants will receive a medal upon completion of the race! Raffle tickets will be sold for raffle prizes.
