From the organizer

Celebrate the Kentucky Derby spirit at the Run for the Roses 5K Fun Run, a family-friendly, Derby-themed event supporting This Old Horse, Inc. The out-and-back course starts and ends at Levee Park and follows the scenic Mississippi Riverwalk in historic downtown Hastings.

This is an "official" chip-timed race with results posted on the Wayzata Results website.

With live music, food trucks, Derby-themed activities, and runner specials at local bars and restaurants, it’s a full day of fun for the whole family — leashed dogs included.

Brooks Running Shoes will have a pop-up tent on site--try 'em, buy 'em!

Proceeds support lifelong care, retraining, and sanctuary for off-track Thoroughbreds, ensuring every racehorse has a safe and dignified life after the finish line.
