Join us for Running With Giants: Leashes & Laces, a virtual half marathon created for runners who want to go the distance—while making a real difference for Great Danes in need.

Taking place late April through early May, this event challenges participants to complete 13.1 miles on their own schedule, in their own community, and at their own pace. Whether you’re chasing a personal record, checking off your first-ever half marathon, or running alongside your favorite four-legged training partner, every mile supports rescue, care, and second chances for gentle giants.

This race is about commitment, purpose, and showing up—one step at a time. You’ll have the full race window to log your miles, build momentum, and cross your finish line knowing your effort directly helps Danes on their journey to forever homes.

Lace up your shoes, grab the leash if you’ve got a canine co-pilot, and get ready to run with giants—both on the road and in heart.

 
How It Works
Register Online
Sign up, receive your digital race materials, and officially commit to 13.1 miles for Danes.

Run Your Race
Complete your half marathon anytime during the event window. Run it all at once or break it up—your race, your rules.

Track & Log Your Miles
Use your favorite fitness app, watch, or manual entry to log your progress on our website and celebrate each milestone along the way.
