From the organizer
11th annual run/walk in honor of PFC Shane Cantu who was killed in action August 28th 2012 in Afghanistan. Shane served for the Army's 173rd Airborne Brigade.
This year the annual 5k commemorates 14 years since the loss of PFC Shane W Cantu in Afghanistan. The pain of this loss is still sharp but the friends and neighbors and community that run with us on the day are so important in keeping his memory alive!
Early Packet Pick Up and Registration at the Farmers Market in Owosso Saturday, August 29th, 10am to noon.
Race day Packet Pick Up starts at 7:30 am.
Start: Chip start at 9am
Registration cost: $25 until August 21st, shirt is guaranteed. $30 until August 29th, limited shirts. $35 Race Day limited shirts.
Course: Accurate paved and fast through the streets of Owosso!
Awards: Medals to top 3 female and male in age groups: 15 and under, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 and over. Award to overall male and female winner.
Results: Live results texted to your phone and on this web site.
