SHS XC Glow The Distance

Join us for the SHS XC “Glow the Distance” Fun Run on June 13, 2026! This is an evening run
designed by two of the junior class athletes of Shenango’s Cross Country team. This run is to
promote a healthy lifestyle, community bonding, and the love of our township. The run is
comparable to a 5K, but will be a fun path of our township, highlighting our high school and our
township park. Glow the Distance will first include a Kids Run, which will be open to children
ages 10 and under. Every participant in this race will win a medal upon completion of the run!
Along with the children, there will be 7 additional age categories (11-15, 16-19, 20-30, 31-40,
41-50, 51-60, 61+) that will run as one group, but will be broken into these groupings for the top
3 runners of each age category to earn medals. This will encourage friendly competition and
bonding within the community, and it will give people the opportunity to get moving outside
during the summer! *Participant receives all risk for the course* The course itself will include
ambient lighting throughout to show the runners the unseen beauty of Shenango Township and
motivate them to truly GLOW the distance!

unexpected weather conditions...

All profits of this run will go towards the Shenango XC team for future things like uniforms,
special team events, and more!
