The course

From the organizer

This is the fourth running of the Singing River Runs benefitting the Singing River Trail and consists of a 25K, 10K, and 5K. The Singing River Trail will be a 200+ mile greenway system that strengthens regional bonds, and creates new educational, health and wellness, economic, tourism, and entrepreneurial opportunities for the people and communities of North Alabama. This world-class resource will connect the region, celebrate Native American heritage, provide education opportunities, contribute to economic development, and enhance the quality of life for residents and visitors throughout North Alabama. Come run with us and celebrate the outdoors of North Alabama!

The races start and finish at the Singing River House in beautiful Mooresville, AL. The courses are packed dirt/gravel roads, taking runners through 1818 Farms and to the river and back. The trees provide a nice canopy for the runners, and it is a great change from the wide-open roads.

This is a great event for the faster runners as well as the new runners. The course is forgiving, there is no time limit, and there will be encouragement for you along the way. All races start at 8 am.

This race is in conjunction with the  Blue Heron Hundreds , which consists of a 100 miler, 100K and 50K. Participants can stay after the race to enjoy some music and snacks, and to cheer on the runners in the longer distances.

We are thankful for our sponsors, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama and REI Sports.
