From the organizer
Join in our 54-year tradition with a run for everyone! The Syttende Mai Classic returns to Anderson Complex at Stoughton High School with our Half Marathon Run and Walk, 5K Run, and 2-Mile Lil' Run.
In 2025, our Half Marathon Run and Walk and 5K Run SOLD OUT! Don't miss out on your chance to challenge yourself as you take the scenic route through Stoughton.
Anderson Complex offers participants and spectators expanded parking, concessions, bleachers, restrooms, and space for post-race celebration. Plus after the race, don't forget to check out our Arts and Crafts Fair and food offerings from Stoughton's very own Norwegian Dancers.
The Half Marathon Run and Walk and 5K Run are timed; the Lil' Run is not. Please note that the Half Marathon course has a 5-hour time limit.
Price increases for Half Marathon Run and Walk and 5K Run on December 1st, March 1st, April 22nd, day-before, and day-of!
Our medals will once again feature the Helm of Awe, a powerful symbol from Norse mythology.
The Helm of Awe I wore before the sons of men In defense of my treasure; Amongst all, I alone was strong, I thought to myself, For I found no power a match for my own.
- The Poetic Edda. Fáfnismál, stanza 16 translated
