20th Annual East Nashville Tomato 5K

Saturday, August 8 | Nashville, TN

Kick off Tomato Fest weekend the right way! 🍅 Join us for the 20th Annual East Nashville Tomato 5K at East Park. A certified, chip-timed road race that brings the community together for fitness, fun, and a whole lot of tomato spirit.

The 5K starts at 7:30 AM, with the Kids Fun Run beginning at 7:00 AM. Runners and walkers of all paces are welcome, and the course is stroller- and pet-friendly, so bring the whole crew!

This race has become the traditional kickoff to Tomato Fest festivities, making it one of the most spirited mornings of the summer.

Swag & Awards

All participants receive a race t-shirt and finisher medal.

Top 3 Overall (Male & Female) Top Overall Masters (40+) Top Overall Grand Masters (50+) Top Overall Senior Grand Masters (60+) Top Overall Senior Grand Masters (70+) Tomato-themed costumes are highly encouraged. The more creative, the better!

Post-Race Celebration

After crossing the finish line, enjoy the sights, sounds, and flavors of Tomato Fest with friends, family, and fellow runners.

Registration & Packet Pickup

Early packet pickup: August 7, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM at the Margaret Maddox Family YMCA. Race morning packet pickup: August 8, starting at 6:00 AM at East Park. The 5K is capped at 2,000 participants, so register early to secure your spot. The race benefits the Margaret Maddox Family YMCA, supporting programs that strengthen our East Nashville community.
