Join us for the 38th annual Salmon Run which returns to Bend, Oregon on April 18, 2026.

Distances include the HALF MARATHON (13.1 miles), 10K, and 5K races. All courses weave along the beautiful Deschutes River on trails and some pavement.

Taking place in the spring, the Salmon Run is one of the first running events of the season and the essential tip-off to the local racing scene in Central Oregon. Traversing beautiful dirt and paved trails amongst junipers and pines, the race course winds through some of the most scenic natural areas in Bend and finishes on the lawn Riverbend Park. Make a weekend of it!

Course Details

The Salmon Run course takes runners along the beautiful and picturesque Deschutes River.  The half marathon course is 75% paved sidewalks and 25% trail.  The 10K course is 80% paved sidewalks and 20% trail.  The 5K is 65% paved sidewalks and 35% trail.  All courses will be marked with a combination of mile markers and directional arrows.

Finish Line Festivities

Enjoy a post-race party with delicious food and beverages (beer!) and music. We’ve got gift bags and awards for the top three male and female finishers in both open and master’s categories! 1st, 2nd & 3rd place ribbons for top age-group finishers.

Parking for Race Day

There is limited parking at Riverbend Park on race day. We highly recommend carpooling. Parking attendants will direct you as you arrive. Additional parking is available on City streets.
