From the organizer
Join us for the Second Squirrel Scramble 5K and Fun Run on, June 13, 2026!
The Querbes Park Foundation, in partnership with Shreveport Parks and Recreation, invites you to breathe in the beauty as you move beneath towering oak trees and across the lush, century‑old grounds that locals have loved since 1924. This is only the second time in over 100 years that the park has opened its fairways for a run or walk — a rare chance to experience Querbes like never before.
👟 All paces welcome! Whether you’re a runner, a walker, or pushing a stroller, you’re warmly encouraged to join the fun. Come explore, enjoy, and be part of a little slice of Shreveport history.
Door Prizes * Breakfast* Squirrel Bait. Plus, Soft Drinks, Water and Beer will be served.
Proceeds from the race will benefit the Querbes Park Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and enhancing the park, as well as the surrounding streets and neighborhoods.
The Fun Run starts at 7:30 am, followed by the 5K at 7:45 am. The predominantly flat and easy course will meander along the paths and fairways of the entire park, all under the shade of its iconic oak trees.
All participants will receive a T-shirt, a finisher's medal at the Finish Line!
We hope to see you there!
