RACE DIRECTOR NOTE...Due to the increases in our Country in many of the expenses involved in this event (t-shirts, screen charges, medals, trophy parts, safety personnel etc...) we are forced to have to increase our registration prices.   For 35 year I have tried to price my events reasonable or in line with(usually lower) than surrounding events and we still are lower with this event than surrounding half-marathon's on Delmarva.    Thank You for your understanding...Race Director Tim Bamforth- Seashore Striders.

RACE TIMING: Seashore Strider Event Production will chip time the event using the Chronotrack B chip timing system.

7:00 am...Limited "Last Chance" Race-Day Registration at Start/Finish area 7:50 am...Line-up & Final Announcements 8:00 am...Start of ½ Marathon Event 11:00 am...Course Closed at the 3 hour cut-off time

COURSE CUT-OFF TIMES FOR HALF-MARATHON ONLY:

Here are your splits to remain on pace to finish under the cut-off. 1m- 13:44 2m- 27:28 3m- 41:12 4m- 54:56 5m- 1:08:40 (check point) 6m- 1:22:24 7m- 1:36:08 8m- 1:49:52 9m- 2:03:36 10m- 2:17:20 11m- 2:31:04 12m- 2:44:48 13m- 2:58:32 The 5m mark on the return is only 1 mile from the start and the finish so we ask that you be at the 5m split by 1:08:40 (13:44/per mile).  If you are over the 1:08:40 time at 5 miles we ask that you stop and walk back to the start/finish as you did not make the cut-off.   We only pay to keep agencies (Police/Fire/Medic/Rangers) for so long and for your safety you must remain under the cutoff pace of a 13:44 min per mile which we feel is very reasonable for a half-marathon runner.    Please know that this is not a "walk only" event.

AWARDS:

Half-Marathon Classic Custom awards will be presented to the Overall, Master and large 4” medals to the top three finishers in the following 8 age groups: 1/2m...19 & U, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, NEW 80+

We will not have a group "Awards Ceremony" because of the length of time and span of finishers...At the 1:30:00 mark or 9:30 am we will begin to post official results and you may come to the Award Pick-Up Table to pick-up your award.   Please note that we will try to wait until the top three (3) finishers fill the age group before we begin to present awards. Awards that are not picked up at the race can also will be available to be picked up during the week locally as well.   Contact tim@seashorestrider.com to arrange a pickup if you miss the awards ceremony.  Seashore Striders will mail "Out of Town" awards by receiving a check/cash/venmo for $10 to cover postage.
