From the organizer
George E. Wahlen, a Medal of Honor recipient from World War II, dedicated his life to serving his country and caring for fellow veterans. His legacy lives on through the George E. Wahlen Veterans Home in Ogden, where veterans receive compassionate, high-quality care in a respectful and supportive environment. The home provides medical services, rehabilitation, and daily activities that honor the dignity and sacrifice of those who served.
Join us for the Veterans Tribute Run on Saturday, November 1, at 8:00 AM in Marriott-Slaterville. This 5K run and walk brings our community together to honor our veterans and support their well-being. All proceeds benefit the Veterans Activity Fund, which provides entertainment, outings, and special programs that enrich the lives of residents at the Wahlen Veterans Home.
The 5K course is fast and flat loop with a short out and back. Start and finish will be at the First United Methodist Church. Light refreshments and age group awards will be presented after the race. Your participation and generosity help make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who have bravely served our country.
