triathlon in North Alabama. Wet Dog Triathlon at Point Mallard is a 400 meter open water swim, followed by a 15k bike ride and a 5k run along the beautiful (and FLAT) banks of the Tennessee River at Decatur, Alabama. Wet Dog is a fundraiser for Tennessee Valley Outreach , Morgan County Rescue Squad, and Princess Theater . Wet Dog at Point Mallard is the second of three races that make up the Summer Sprint Series. Heel & Crank Duathlon and the Huntsville Sprint Triathlon are the remaining event in the series. Each participant who finishes will receive a series water bottle at no extra charge.
